This is my mod I have been working on for quite some time now... Yes, Flyable Vehicles.... I have a server up that tests them if ya'll would like to check them out.

I thought RedGreasel Had something like this, but he disappeared and so did all his work.... Why does good mods and people dissapear??


The helicopter glides smoothly through the air, No lag whatsoever in MP...(Unless your connection is horrible)
Can fire secondary and primary projectiles, gonna add ammo and reloading systems soon to it as well as the ability to bank...

Elevate, deelevate, and see how fast you are going...

All features are fully functional in Multiplayer.

Fantastic job.

Nice HUD and ideas.

There is a problem, as mentioned, with being able to land the chopper like a chopper. At the moment you have to stop flying to land... OR... you have to land like an aeroplane, using around 3072 of grid to descend. With "forwards" pressed and "down" pressed, the chopper should be descending more like a 45 degree or 60 degree angle, not the very shallow 15 degree angle that is currently there. Just a really minor tweak probably. The chopper shouldn't need more than about 1024 to land, if 1024 high, perhaps even less like 800.

Just a slight forward motion, not full speed during descent.

Also as Psycho mentioned, will be good to tone down the weps to improve the fps.

I'll try to supply you Abydos, FlyThePlanes and anything else I think is big enough and zoned enough to work.

Remember back in the day a lot of coders had issues with trying to implement this type of modification. Good job atrey.

Thanks Tidus!! Taken quite sometime to make this work properly with all the features....Gotta finish
up this co-pilot feature, shouldn't be TOO hard ;) But will post the server up with each update I make to
see if people like it.

The Pilot can shoot?

Does the Heli have health? Go they boom when they explode? What about air fights :D

The Co-Pilot shoots with his/her OWN weapons.

Yes, There are 3 helicopters so far that a pilot can fly,

A Bomber, A Missle launcher, or a machine-gunner.

Can you use medkits in the heli? would be kinda weird to heal a heli with... well an first aid kit lol.

Also how does it really work, is it like instant max speed or do they speed up slowly (kinda like in GTA) and a bit harder do control like switching the direction.

How about heli ammo, do you have them? can you recharge them? when yes, how?

fuel? nah forget this, its annoying anyway :roll:

Do the helis, if taken down, respawn? When they still fly, do the respawn too?

Is the damage the heli recives and the damage the pilot gets 1:1? or does it takes maybe 2 GEP rockets to get him down.

Also can you shoot the windows and headshot the pilot?
