Post by ShadowRunner »

I've heard that Far Cry has it's own SDK and that there is a mapping community...

That is very true - and the Far Cry SDK is far more versatile than any verion of UnrealEd.

CorelDraw on a 286 pc was more versatile than UE... the most funny creative software I have ever experienced... I heard this is because it is actually 7 programs stitched together, the stitching being a little... loose?

Well my Xbox friend tells me that Far Cry is out on Xbox soon too...

A little off topic, but he was describing the various available player movements in Rainbow Six Vegas, which apparently also uses UE or UTk2004? Shooting round corners, shuffling sideways against walls etc...
And you can load your own webcam shot for your face...

DejaVu forces me to find another game to map for. Unfortunately I had planned to only ever play and map DX until it died. But without FGS and DXSG and DXAG and of course DXMS, I see it dying sooner than anticipated...

Far Cry seems like a good option at the moment... I like to map...

Get with the times, Far Cry is already out for both incarnations of the XBOX and the Wii.

Sadly not. The versions are different.
