Deus Ex Multiplayer Maps (and mods) Archive Installer

Post by Moop »

The torrent is available here.

You will need a BitTorrent client (like Azureus or BitTornado) to get it.

Final size: 315 MB

What it does:
  • Installs 350+ Maps (including textures, music, sound, etc)
  • Installs the No-CD fix
  • Installs DXMTL152b1 patch
  • Installs Engine.dll that can play/record demorecs properly
  • Installs OpenGL rendering fix
  • Installs DXIPServer security fix
  • Backs up your DeusEx.ini and User.ini files
  • Installs Documentation (ReadMe, FAQ, Community links, Videos, etc)
  • Registers the deusex:// protocol so you can join servers from a link
  • Installs new splash screens
  • Optionally installs QValidate (optionally) - players will need QValidate to join if you use it. Verifies client-side files match MD5 checksum (helps block hacked packages)
detailed informations (e.g. MapList)

If you are unable to see the two file attachments listed below (the Installer and registry fix), remember you must register at these forums to see them. It's painless, and takes very little time. Do it. 8)
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

If some of that stuff is installed when I run the installer does it just install over it or will it run into problems.

Okay thanks and there might be a problem with the direct download because I downloaded it two times and both times it said it was corrupt.

Heya redfire - check http://helixes.dyndns.org:8080/index.html for information regarding the Installer. It has a few links you might find useful. If you know how to use MD5, you can verify the integrity of your copy of the Installer in just a few seconds. Otherwise, you could re-download the whole thing (uggh!) via direct-download or by using the .torrent link. If you have the error described on that website, just download the fix. If nothing works, add me to your msn or yahoo, or send me a PM.

Lol, you cant link from your hard drive, you have to actually upload the image. Also, a .gif is not a video, its an image.
