Shopping mall looks dusty and deserted, nice.
Locked containers sounds good, a dead NPC can't speak a code, which could change every time, like airstrike.
I like this idea of the survivors, players and NPC's being a bit on edge, paranoid and trigger happy, sometimes shooting each other too for survival... I think this would definitely happen, when there is no more room in hell!
Off-topic: Bristol council received a letter asking what were the emergency plans for a zombie invasion in Bristol, so they wrote back a detailed document, outlining their zombie invasion plans and it was published in the local papers...

LIDL ftw. They make nice chocolate. And Cheese, you're a good mapper, you should try and make a aug map

Thanks Psycho. All the maps apart from Jail_Break_beta should have everything in them to host as aug maps but they have never been tested with augs yet!

Well, there goes my copyright paranoia straight out the window. Think I'll make some of the writing on food packaging etc unreadable, but easily recognisable, or just mock names etc. Btw, nice one on the mall Chees. This might sound bizarre, but try making that skylight brush into a mover instead of a semisolid (after backing up of course!), I -never- get bsp problems with static movers for some reason, might be worth a try.

Small update because it's been a while. Been mapping on and off, will be a lot more active now that college stuff is out of the way for a week or so. I think I seriously underestimated the size of this map, hospital is like a map on its own. Chees has sent me what he's done of the mall so far, it's epic.
A few weeks ago I coded in a hunger system thing, did the food superclass/coding and made the bio energy bar in the top left into a hunger bar (goes down over time, won't regain any of it unless you eat. You take more damage when it's low.). I'd like to include augs, but I don't see how they fit into a standard zombie apocalypse. Maybe I'll find similar ways to use the energy / hunger?

Nay, doesn't work well in DX imo... Unless you got some super clever awesome way to pull it off
