Edit : Is it just me that the link isnt working for, there is nothing wrong with what i have typed, but the link wont turn into a clickable hyperlink. Whats up with that ?

bbcode does not recognise anything that doesn't contain the "://" protocol, and therefore dismisses the address inputted. I'm sure it would work in html code, but FGS doesn't support it.
Simply ask the person to copy and paste the link into their address bar in whatever web browser they use, in the original format...
