There was a whole dramafest about the whole thing when we first did it because nochance wanted to host it then he was talking about banning people from it then we decided to spread it out.

The MSL was allready built into the game, it just needed an .ini. We had one online in 2004 adding secondary entry under gamespy, then IIRC FGS's was online shortly after and Bowen had one. At first we were taking a look at how the gamespy msl worked, i created a small application to trick gamespy MSL into thinking it was talking to the dx client to check the I/O. However ive been out of the loop for years I still have the app i was working on somewhere that had selectable MSL's for the DX client to contact. If someone put out an update, thats cool.
