The UI in ued2 is better though.

It's not an opinion. It IS better. It shows text tips when you hover over buttons. The imports window is far more manageable and has a useful toolbar. The 2D shape editor is more functional. I like how you can right click cube and it brings up the options window. It's one step less that ued1 but it does speed things up.

UED1 is alot more intuitive for me because it's all I ever used, so for me the UI there is better.
There are things that are better though, as you pointed out right clicking the cube bringing the options menu is great, I'll give you that.

if you're talking about the button to bring up a cube brush on the left hand side.
then UED1 already has that functionality. Right clicking it brings up options for the cube you're about to build.

For a 3D triangle use a four sided cone.
