disable your Firewall and go in your router configuration

In your router configuration, you need to go to "NAT" or "Port Forwarding".

open the following ports "TCP+UDP" :
7790
7791
7792
8777
27900

now you must/can host an DX Internet game

plz help me with a hosting problem

Post by Patch »

Yes I have this same problem as Kothar but slightly different.
This is the setup
There are 2 PC's in my house
1 downstairs is a laptop which has a broadband connection directly to the internet, which i can host to the internet with no problems,
and my PC which is connected to the internet through the laptop via an ad-hoc wireless network connection (no router), which when I host an internet game it will only host to the LAN.
Is there a similar way to open the ports but instead of going into router config (I dont have one), by using the control panel in Windows, and on which PC do I have to open them on, and can you give me instructions on how to do this?
Plz help!!!

You using the Windows XP Internet Connection Sharing?

FGS servers

Post by Patch »

Ok. Oh and I have another question for you Icho. Do you host all 3 FGS servers on the same PC or not, and if you do how can you do it? I've tried it and it just causes problems because they are using the same IP address so it gave me conflict when hosting 2 on one PC.
