IF YOU CANNOT FIND SOMETHING, PRESS CTRL+F.

1. Open your user.ini (in DeusEx/System) and find this line:

Aliases[18]=(Command="",Alias=None)
Image

in the [Engine.Input] section and edit it to looks like this:

Aliases[18]=(Command="Button bAltFire | AltFire",Alias=AltFire)
Image

2. Done? Now you need to set up you key to use altfire.
Find the "MiddleMouse=" line or "RightMouse=" line.
Image
Now you have 2 choices. You can set the button to Right Mouse, but you might find it hard to use if you are used to open doors/use items in the world with it - So I suggest you to use the MiddleMouse - the mouse scroll button. If you don't have it, you have to use the RightMouse.

3. Add "AltFire" next to the button you have chosen.

Note: There are 2 sections with MiddleMouse= and RightMouse= - make sure you add "AltFire" to both of them!
Don't left the "ParseRightClick" in the "RightMouse=" line.

3. (optional) If you have chosen MiddleMouse, you can skip this step.
For RightMouse users - now run DeusEx, go to Options--->Keyborad/Mouse and set up your new "Use items in the World" key, as your right mouse button is now used by altfire.

4. Now run DX, and have fun on our Altfire Servers :)

I have included the TNAG_Readme.txt file, so everyone can read about the functions and types of those tnag guns.

Had to post it as .zip because .txt is not allowed.

here is a good key set up for alt fire that i use...

the right mouse is altfire the "F" key is normal open doors pick up and put away key.
(this is how it is set up on Deus Ex IW i found it to be more efficient for altfire)

and while your in there set you scope to "E" or "R" because it is better for in fights when you can quickly scope and unscope.

cheers!

EDIT: now that i think about it it is backward for IW

Yeap, but shooting is mostly binded on mouse, and Altfire is just an alternate type of shooting (as the name says :>)

however, binding it to keyboard key isn't a bad idea - for example E if you walk with WSAD.

Middlemouse is risky on my cheap mouse, I end up juggling multitools if I am not careful, very inconvenient to say the least. Tab sucked a lot, R is a little better, I'm still finding the key for me...

if you right click to get Altfire, I was wondering what you use to scope with.

btw, Good Job Kuchcik, well done posting this information.

I have my scope on E, it' useful if you walk with WSAD.

Anyway, a good mouse is very very important.

Hi,

there is an easier way to bind AltiFire =o

1. Make a copy of your User.ini
2. Open your User.ini
3. Find the [Engine.Input] section and write "altfire" at the key you want to bind to AltFire.
E=altfire
For example
4. Save your User.ini

Works fine with me ...

// German
Es gibt einen einfacheren Weg, AltFire zu binden.

1. Erstelle eine Sicherheitskopie deiner User.ini
2.
