Hi There.
I just downloaded the game from the 'official' site , from one of the ftp links, started the urbanterror411.exe
it started unpacking itself , then i got a blackscreen followed by the blue screen of death, followed by a memory dump with a reboot.
Everytime i try to install it i get this result...
Any ideas?
my crappy pc config im trying to install this on:
win7 ultimate 32bit
1gb ram
1.92 ghz single core amd xp 2600+
ati radeon 9600 128mb
Blue screen of death.

Re: Blue screen of death.
Hopefully I can help form a non technical/system/software point of view from experience on my first PC/laptop doing this when under stress when running stuff.
1. Turn of PC/Laptop!! Make sure all cooling fans are clear and free of dust and build up even on the fan blades.
2.Re seat the memory chips and make sure they are clean of crap as well, it may be the reason for a memory dump.
3.Make sure it's not over heating in the bios when booted and everything is clean and free.
90% of shut off, black screen/blue screen was due to over heating when I encountered it. 10% try a restore maybe software conflict is apparent...that part I cant advise on! other than that use Ubuntu back up on disk and format reload system. also your hard disk may be on it's last legs. hook it up to a different system and check the system disk for problems. I'm no expert but all of this work for me from experience and has never failed on the blue/black screen. And saved all HD's....unless they are dead drives.

Re: Blue screen of death.
I dont think you have enough ram to be honest. 1 GB of ram is prolly not enough.
But when you get another blue screen, tell me the last assembly line on the right near the bottom. (0X0000000XXX)

LOL
i figured it out myself:D
the problem was the video card driver, i just had to update it and now it works fine and doesnt even lag
Chees : thanks anyways
Kalman:Azért raktam fel , mert a w7 csak 512mb ramot használ , alapjáraton meg csak kb 200at.
Atrey:1gb is enough for the game, if my w7 eats the half of it its still enough because the game is built up on quake3 engine and quake3 only need 64mb-s of ram, so its clearly enough.
I dont even lag, and i have a fix 100 fps: D
