I've noticed that MMO's with lots of additional skills and no forced monster bashing to advance your character are not boring, at least for me.

Also, EVE ONLINE IS THE BEST MMO EVER MADE. Ppl say it's metabolic end product, steep learning curve, but hell, I've started that trial account like, 10 times.
