Re: Nukedeath
Nukedeath is sadly missing from the altfire server. It is part of the FGS recipe of low grav/tnag etc.Mastakilla wrote:I have no idea what you're on about mate
Basically it makes players die like MIB, they will explode.
It COMPLETELY changes tactics. For example, if a team decides to camp the hangar spwn on a51, one headshot could kill that entire team.
It makes it almost impossible to use DTS or prod. It also makes it very difficult to be anywhere close to your own team.
Also of course, exploding near lams is not a good idea either.
It will revert Altfire servers back to the "old" days when shock rifle and not pulse or vac, dominated the battlefield.
It's very funny too.
In some ways as well it allows teams to be unbalanced, because e.g. it would be very dangerous for two NSF to chase 1 Unatco through a corridor. The Unatco only needs to kill one of them to seriously injure or kill both NSF.
It makes the game more fluid and dynamic also, one slip of attention and woops you are dead. A much harder and difficult game to survive with 0 deaths.

It's return was probably the first time you saw it. Nuke death was failboat for the knifing community.Skilgannon wrote:I remember the brief return it had last year. Was fun.

He said when will it be ACTIVE666 wrote:in which time it will be ACTIVE ?
That's why Twinz, Abandoned, Pacman etc dont get my vote. It's bad enough without nukedeath...Nukedeath is funny, but its agony in Pacman lol
Proteus is about the smallest map that really works in Altfire/low grav.
Although DXMP_Spaceship by Hejhuka worked very well, but the layout is entirely different of course.

Re: Nukedeath
The nukedeath that is hosted on the altfire server is a selective one.
1. it doesn't load at all on certain maps (like pacman)
2. it doesn't cause the enemy to blow up if he was killed with a close combat weapon like the DTS

Re: Nukedeath
I think nukedeath should be modified to award skill points for chain bonuses in ATDM.
6X COMBO
14,000 Skill Points Awarded
