Dunno, but she was German. I've talked to her several times.
Nice attitude, she's had.

I must admit I found it hard to believe German Girl was a real person. I'm speaking about the internet perhaps, rather than the person.

The level of skill sometimes reminded me of FlyingGhostSpirit or 502_RAT, people who have been playing altfire more than two years. I've been playing nearly 4 years and when someone is cheating or aliasing it becomes easy to spot. I was convinced that they were not a beginner.
Also when I read "her brother"... it sounds familiar.
Also I noticed how many players rushed to help train and confide in this newbie and how caution was thrown out of the window in befriending her. It amazed me in fact how grown men were spending so much time talking to this person that was actually a child and I felt few people actually considered what they were doing.
Also I saw some very strange, obscene and weird things being said about German Girl.

I never spoke to German Girl and only fought them once, so from what I saw, German Girl was not real. Don't get upset with people who never saw proof she was real, because they never saw proof and only saw reasons to doubt. I just hope they are right and no-one died at all.

is "Vanessa" a common german name?

Exotic name, but would match to a girl.

... I didn't want to get into this about a person who has died... but its obvious that GermanGirl was a real person. whether it was an alias from another player is something different. I only saw GermanGirl maybe 3 times.



I am now out of this conversation because I don't like to argue over a person who has died.

I dont disagree with you that German Girl was a real person, but then I have no idea if they were a girl, or if they died etc... and since none of you ever met her, none of you do either.

Just I saw Hawk get upset with another FGS member. It is a silly argument. You say it is obvious she was real, but I'm sorry, it is not obvious to many people and in fact there were signs that German Girl could have been a fake. That is testimony to her skill and ability. My comments were not intended to offend or ignore your loss, but to create some peace in FGS, by showing Hawk why people doubt the validity of this, so that Hawk does not blame those who are disbelievers.

Like anything else round here, until I see proof, I retain "open verdict." on everything in DX. People said Spaz was a retard, I never saw proof myself.
Each person's experience is different. My experience was that German Girl seemed not to be a beginner as claimed.
Seems at least 50% are upset and 50% of people are disbelievers.
It's a reflection on the internet rather than anything else.
