black friday, black market, black comedy...

It generally describes the worst possible or something which is very dark in it's nature, therefore black.

So blackmail would be the worst kind of letter coming through you door.

Given that the concept of blackmail actually originated in Scotland, I disagree with the above statement.

Nee, I dunna ken boot thart. (translated: NoI don't know about that) And that's the English version of Scottish. I wish Magus had enlightened us a bit more.
Welsh is even worse. The language was dying so the government made kids learn it in school and there are "Welsh" schools.
One small problem with that, the grammar is reverse, so now there are hundreds of thousands of Welsh kids walking around saying "where you going are?" or something like that and have no hope of ever getting a job where you are required to speak or write...
The £7.50 single journey from the Valleys to Cardiff City also is usually instead spent on a rock, crate of beer or bag of weed.
This country is soooooo...

but I didnt know Blackmail is Scottish. Not surprising if you think about it.

English are not racist, we were brutal to everyone...

Me too, I guess it's the verbal form that makes it difficult to understand.
