Are you wanting to make an RPG mod, or more like a collection of fight maps with jump pads and cool weps and models?

i have a better idea! lets make crysis 2 mod in dx, dx already have augs we just need to convert models and textures and graphics!
WELL ON A SERIOUS NOTE... I agree with nick, if you make a little progress then everyone will get interested and join in to help you.. so GOOD LUCK

I will help make maps for this project Kalman Once my other maps are finished! apart from mapping I'm not much use at the rest although I have started coding I'm not so good atm! but free help from a M/S and major know it all script writer is apparently going to help me

I will help you but first
1. Real life, am freelance currently

2. Human Revolution backlog + Hengsha downtown RPG cozmo HR thing.
3. WW2 map updates fixes adding new stuff that ppl make etc.
4. SG will I ever finish map pack
5. Summer101 single player map
6. Making videos and posting on sites about dx etc.
7. Updating fixing altfire-used maps.
PLUS I am really hungry to make AvP or AvColonialMarines mod. Unatco uniform and HK military is ok, just need xenomorph. That is ALL you need to make a really popular and cool mod. Xenomorph with jawkill, tailkill and can pick up stuff with hands. And the M41 assault rifle with M203 launcher thing.
PLUS I completely love Chinny's idea of Wild West or Indiana Jones mod. WW2 server could be developed to have Indiana Jones maps and stuff.

So simple. Only needs 2 things. Xenomorph and M41. Already have Flamethrower and grenades. Basically Face's mod with Xenomorph skins. I'd allow the xenomorphs some degree of human faculties too. In the movies, they can operate buttons, cut power etc.
Also the Indiana Jones thing might not need much, sounds like EDH have been developing those kind of things. Browning pistol, Thompson and Garand would be ok, crowbar, combat knife etc.
Cozmo RPG is not waste of time. However the map itself was a learning curve. I feel it's reached the point where a new map is better. I'd like to see the next map have a more even distribution of shops, hotels missions, than cramming most into the "poles" of the map. Also instead of linear, probably a different shape, perhaps a hub. The Hengsha RPG idea makes sense, but then if another setting for the RPG arises, I don't rule that out either.
