just make a normal brush and ladder textures are in CoreTexMetal.utx - To make a ladder texture is simple, just type "ladder" in the type of texture box when you import...

Crazy, always always always - open a single player map and have a look. (Vents are the exception, need to be 80 x 80 size for MP). There are a few ways to make ladders, some use 1 brush, some use 3, some use 3 and a subtract...
