When a serve hosted from hom everyone expects lag unless in the same country! Are most servers hosted via home and or eg a site that offers to co host?

Most servers hosted by gamingdeluxe.co.uk, but I think any virtual server with remote desktop would be enought

On DXUK server, when I went to Altfire, he didn't come.
