You do not want to get me started on Slipknot because this entire topic will turn into one huge argument. I will just say Joey Jordison is nowhere near the greatest drummer alive.

Drummer's a drummer to me. I just listen for the music a band makes, not so's I can argue about who's better than who. That's just childish. If I like it, I'll listen. If not, , jog on.

so yeah Machine Head is good i just started listening to them a week ago and they are great!

another band some may not have heard of is Puscifer (not metal not really rock but definitely alternative) every song has a different style so it makes them very unique... and by them I mean the singer because the band hasn't had any other permanent members. here idk how else to explain this band http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puscifer
