That med bind for instance is very suspect in my eyes.
"Pros" that use the bind have an advantage though.
If someone says that is legal, I can just answer: the so called "hack" to get god mode without admin abilities is just a bind too, because the game provides that function.

I SAY BIND R HAX :!:
The problem would be solved so easily if atdm servers and pro aug servers EXPLAINED to the new player that players are binding, what is binding and how to bind. Obviously we can not rely on players 24/7, the only solution is a mod for atdm servers which recognises new IP's and sends messages to the new IP's... otherwise atdm players will be faced with this problem always.
Medbind advantage is some, especially if server doesn't lag, but aug advantage is too great... I went on EDH server yesterday with a default ini and played, it was surprisingly easy to fight, but being attacked from the rear with gep, plasma or assault is too difficult, when already meleeing etc to switch binds around and med and reload and make the right moves... but only against some players... some players were just as easy to kill.
So there should be some message which either annoys everyone, or targets new players... and there would be no confusion or accusations.
I can see the appeal of binds to geeky ppl, who love the world of DX, icebreaking, corporate espionage etc... binds are part of the game, but they are part of an advanced game and should be in advanced environments OR made accessible and understandable to beginners more.

This is the problem with games, people keep making them easier for those less capable. Making a mod that makes the game easier will make the newbs play in that server and that server only, thus hindering they're ability to play against pro's.
It's not entirely our fault...

No-one is blaming you, but here you are talking complete and utter irish cowpat...

No-one said make it easier, I'm saying make it understandable...
If a player can choose between playing a game with instructions, or playing some 8 yr old with no instructions at all, 99.9% of people will take the easy option.
When I first started gaming, there was a similar issue with 286 and 386 computers, you had to edit config.sys and autoexec.bat files to be able to load a game... now not everyone can do that, consequently which is why Xbox is making a lot of money... it's the same with binds, it's like blindfolding a player and saying it's a fair game, you are a complete wassock to suggest that revealing the ACTUAL INSTRUCTIONS on how to play is making the game unfair and too easy for a newb...

Lolz at Nobody! I only barely remember my dad having to type in DOS commands when I was little so I could play things like Crusader: No Remorse and Aladdin.

Don't get me started on win98 tho. :x
