I think there are different buttons to speed up map movement and combat speed.

While in combat there's an options button and if you click on it, you can see the option of speeding up animation. That's what you're looking for.

A video from some time back of my clan (The Red Tigers) in Anarchy Online and its allied clan (The Red Brotherhood) doing one of our rare and completely unplanned marches from our usual meeting place in smaller town (West Athen) to faction capitol of sorts: Old Athen. A special clan since in addition to your obvious nerdy know-it-all grinders it had many fascinating personalities in there, at the time led by a successful danish rower.
