Increasing a BitRate....

You can not increase quality with what is not there so increasing bitrate on a lower bitrate file to a higher one means the quality will be exactly the same even with the higher bitrate.

Maybe he doesn't want to increase quality, just the file size! For some shitty reason haha

Indeed, but it won't be lower than before.

What I want is still increasing maximum volume which probably doesn't require additional data of the mp3 just a switch moved.
Kuch the only reason I haven't used your advice yet is that I'm lazy and that I wasn't home all weekend again, came home just now. <3
