The last thing we need is another 0A server.. We already have enough of them. lol we need some easy, simple new stuff. However, that doesn't mean party servers... too many of those too lol.

Hopefully this year will see at least two RPG mods (Hengsha RPG and Cozmo RPG v3) and perhaps a new co op mod (DXSM zombie mod).

Those I know will come out soon, but I'm talkin about small things in the meantime, know what I mean? Simple, new additions to DXMP. like, for example... Enhanced Deathmatch, or A Simple Greasel vs Karkians dm, or something like animals vs. humans, Just simple stuff to NOT keep the people waiting. Deus Ex really needs to be updated.... We have been making new maps nonstop.. and that's awesome, But, let's go for more things too.

If someone wants to host 0-aug, good luck to them. Competition is healthy. If someone sees something from a different viewpoint, that's their viewpoint and they are entitled to it. Obviously some of the current popular maps are good for assault or rifle games, but as you can see, that doesn't cater for everyone, some people want stealth action in 0-augs and other types of play too. Not everyone enjoys 10 players in one room, whether that be sniperbox or pool it doesn't really make a difference, there will always be demand for maps that don't fit this category. Good luck with what you are doing.

edit: a case in point is Ratesc. Too big for my liking, but likely to entertain a beginner more than sniperbox perhaps.

People tend to judge in 0-aug before the map is even made. I'm waiting to see what Alvin does before I decide if there's "too much" or not. From what I've seen of his mapping, it will be excellent. The proof is in the pudding, whether people vote it or not.

I know what you are saying but custom stuff won't ever replace 0a, there will always be a demand/need for it, so I'm saying it's better to let people experiment in 0a and try new ideas, than limit to 1 or 2 servers with the same old stuff.

What I do think would be good, I think I already suggested, is incorporating some of the recent coding advances into 0a.

For example I would be editing Smuggler with wep shops instead of wep racks. Some samples of convo. Another idea is repo men. So I would give limited augs out, in the 0a server, but if players breach some rule then the npc repo men or bots come after that player. This could be used to make atdm interesting too.

Now THAT would be a good next project after Hengsha... I would help you with that..

Enhancing 0A can make it less boring! lol I already am thinking of things...

Yes, adding superrockets to 0aug would make it more interesting in any case. :-D

I could make the superrocket have a new tail! Red instead of blue for instance? 8-[
