anyways i haven't reached that level codder yet

with simple words.. you compile your mod that depends on a package called DXMTLDummy, then after your compiled your package, you process with with the MTLExtender

it changes the MTLDummy dependency to aim at DXMTL instead

the problem is not that you can't extend MTL.. but you can't compile something with DXMTL loaded

because the ucc make commandlet crashes when loading mtl.. BEFORE it could compile your own mod

So yeh, actually it's midnight now and i'll goto bed.. not that I'm sleep-dependent but society suggests to sleep at night! we can continue this tomorrow!
