The [FGS] Clan

Greetings,
I am "LTKJAY", an admin and somewhat co-leader of alpha.
It is in my interests, and my own will to come here to settle an issue between the relationship of FGS and alpha; we already know the facts so lets get down to the point.

This topic will serve as an agreement on middle ground with both of our parties problems.

Hopefully this topic serves as a meeting viewable by the public with the conditions of me and ShadowRunner posting in this topic, unless we need request a statement from a witness or another member. He didn't promise the random intervention of members, but I think it'll be quite unfortunate if they butt in. (If you have something small to say: just ask ShadowRunner to say it for you.)

I won't be here today so tomorrow we'll start the meeting... but until then: What do we talk about first ShadowRunner?

I have to argue with you...

This is not about [FGS] or [A], this is about one person.

Why does it need 3 [A] members to receive a warning intended for one person?

I have no beef with you James, and I'm not here to argue over [FGS] or [A] either.

He's been warned and complained about for very valid reasons.

No amounts of threats or what we are calling blackmail, will stop us from issuing kicks, bans, warnings, where they are appropriate and overdue.

Perhaps there is something you want to say?

I can spare a few words before I leave to Manchester.

I believe even if the subject is intended towards Alex, I think people need to step in to support, or in my case stop. Think letting two men fight and no one around to stop, then they fight dirty and it gets too rough. Boxing even has it's restraints. These men have ties with each other as groups who are considered partners in a community, now it would be bad if those two men fight.

Now we have to settle on how to stop this, as gentlemen before it becomes group vs group. What do you want done with Alex?

how can u support his actions? they break server rules.

If an FGS member falls foul of your server and forums rules, we dont gang up and bombard you guys, we respect your server rules and admins. You have never seen FGS do any of Alex's stuff on your servers.

Alex has proven that he can not respect admins, listen to them, obey server rules, he has proven that he would rather threaten us than take a warning.

If you want to pat him on the back and spoil him, fine. We won't, it's our server and we are entitled to run it smoothly...

We aren't intimidated by Alex, [A] defending Alex, or any of his threats.

So I don't see what there is to support, what would u like done with Alex? We are not gonna allow him to play on the server, and we have sent ban requests to EDH and RTK. This is simply because we wont be threatened and intimidated.

the more people support him like this, when he's in the wrong, the more people will consider that [A] is in fact part of the issue of Alex. And more people will want to ban Alex than before.

Intimidation doesn't work, when u have no manners or respect...

He has received warning upon warning, this is his creation, his choice, to make a fight rather than post a ban request...

I am willing to listen to you James, but at the end of the day, we are administrating the server in respect of Alex, not you... so as far as we can see this has nothing at all to do with you and everything to do with Alex.

i stopped it and no one hosted this combination

i hosted Wunderland (Altfire + Low Grav) on another Server

I stopped it with the atacks ... no one hosted this combination

FGS does not possess the right on certain gametypes or whatsoever. Alpha possesses the right on some modifications, as we made them. You only use the combination of 2 modifications (ModifyZone & TNAG) and since you are not the maker, you have no right of saying that noone else may use it.

As far as I can see these are the only issues between FGS and Alpha.

1. Nobody is away in the army.

2. we would like to see clans fighting DXAG wars on your server

I'm not going to say anything about your leader. If you do, then I will, and you can then call Kaiden in again to accuse me of not stopping...
Alex has personal issues, we dont see this as [A] official stance.

But I refer you to Kothar and IchoTolot's post.

I would like to see [A] resources being used in better ways than trying to rival FGS Wunderland, because Alex was already part of the Wunderland team... so it doesnt make any sense to me, if you are proud of [A], you will stop this nonsense and make something fresh and new and stop being an attention seeker, Alex that is, not James...

I can think of one more issue, an issue not mentioned.

So no-one can accuse me of bringing an argument back... cos it's not an argument but an observation.

Would I be right in saying that Alpha say that they are trying to preserve and sustain the community. When I visit any of alpha download sites or links I can not find one map made by FGS, not one... not even a dxsg map... It's not an accusation, but it just makes me wonder why Alex seems determined to erase FGS from the community.

It's not an accusation, but why do I want to erase FGS? That sure as hell does look like an accusation to me. Really, choose your words more wisely.

As for the download archive, ever thought of the fact that we don't update it when people don't send us maps? We don't have a crew working on the archive 24/7.

i have learn from DWK the (first) clan who used low grav before FGS and noone hosted this combination over years exept FGS so i may ask why and think i have the rights.

So because you are the only one who used it for years, you have the rights to be the only one to use it?

That does not make sense, at all. Ichotolot, just give up. You know you don't have anything to stand on, FGS has no right to be the only hosters of TNAG.

Alex if u want to rival FGS, no-one is stopping you...

A fresh idea, that is not already being hosted, would have been better imo, your server is pretty much empty, once ppl realize there is only one CTF map and it's a CTB map not a CTF map...

I captured the bush, ran towards my own camp, turned round to return fire on the enemy and all I could see were leaves...

It does seem very much to that your [A] tnag server is not about improving DX, but about imposing your will over FGS.

Your server arrived the second we removed beretta, you were fuming we had taken it off.

But I think you have realized, you can no longer impose your will or your insults over FGS...

I urge you again, to run a different gametype and leave FGS alone to do what it was respected for doing, providing a regular source of new custom maps, wunderland, providing map archive, some tech support for players etc...

If you are not satisfied with the way the server is run, then use our complaints/suggestions threads... or make one. That's why we ran the beretta test, because we are constantly seeking ways to improve the server, we don't say all maps and settings are forever...
