do i need quake 3 arena ?

no just download the file and install it... it should have a new version that has its own version of the quake 3 engine.

to be specific: before 4.0 you needed Quake3, now it's working without it.

The most recent version is 4.1, 4.2 coming out soon!

IMPORTANT: To run UrT, you need the drivers for your graphics card installed! The game uses OpenGL rendering, it is inbulit into drivers.

i have reintall them and now it runs but wend i going to join a server it takes years to load and wend its done it says awaiting snapshot and it never joins atm i could only join 2 server and play 20 m
