Groom Lake - a combat RPG project.

Groom Lake, aka Dreamland, aka Nellis Air Force Base, aka Area 51.
I like big maps.
This is all 4 Area 51 levels on the same grid. The red mess is because I have not renamed elevators and they are sharing tags. The "Page" level, Sector 4, does not rotate without brushes distorting, so teleporters will be required to hide the 90 degree bend to the right.
Obviously without something like Ring Transporters, Vehicles, Tele systems, lots of cameras, and other ways to find the enemy quickly, this map would see no action ever, so it will require some modding.
I'm at the stage of converting a lot of brushes to semi-solid. It's amazing, why the original mappers did not use more semi-solid. Also some stuff can be deleted, which players will not notice is missing. When this is done, even
including a new runway and vehicles, Groom Lake will be an estimated 18mb- ish, maybe even less.
The idea here is, to provide a map for TKG or LTK clan, or FGS clan, which a modder can use to turn into some kind of RPG game...
perhaps different jobs at Area 51, Pilot, Security, Engineer, Scientist, Technician, CargoMaster etc...

For transportation, a underground tram system could work.
Like in Langley in Zodiac and Area_51 The Day After.

Sector 2 is flat, that would be easy there, perhaps the monorail in Sector 3 could be expanded to visit the other areas...
it's a nice idea, which is easy and simple, I like it therefore...

If you're having the problem that I think you're having, try selecting all of the brushes in the level, right click on any of the highlighted brushes and then select Transform -> Transform Permanently. You should then be able to rotate the entire level without the brushes distorting (remember to select all, including the actors after the transform).
That map's a nice idea.

We are doing the same with 4 LaGuardia levels too. Khaam's Helibase will connect to the Airfield, where you will be able to go inside the Hangar and also inside the 747.
I really appreciate your comments and your tip, I'll try that. Some subtracts are rectangles, but when rotated, become parallelograms. or do I mean rhomboids? Anyway would be possible to rebuild but incredibly irritating... so I will give your tip a go.
Thx for all comments, I am surprised, I thought it would be laughed at and pointed out that it's a little bit big. But it will be a lot of fun to play all four area 51 levels in the same game...I was thinking of ways of remotely finding enemy, I guess cameras, alarms etc...and also how to kill them remotely, like airstrike or osiris, but being able to aim at a different sector and blow that particular sector...
If you look at Satellite images of Nellis AFB, the munitions bunker entrance to Area 51, is in the bottom of the pic, in the mountains and the mysterious large hangar is further near Las Vegas and on the flat part. Therefore DX got it wrong, the mountains should be behind the bunker, not directly facing them behind the tower. The hangar should be where comm is too.

rhomboids, they are yawing like a overweight 747 on a bumpy ride to Boston. Or do I mean skewing, anyway they are distorting like your Hemmerhoids...

Technically Nellis and Area 51 are separate entities. In fact the distance between the two is over 100 miles by car.

Dulce. Of course the only "information" on it is the Dulce Papers which tells the story of a fight breaking out between the alien and human factions that work there. Outside this there have only been people who have claimed to work there without anything to back up their claims. Although I'm told that there are plenty of strange occurrences in the area, so who knows.
