An explosion in the Queens Tower Apartments building rocked lower Wan-Chai in Hong Kong this morning. The cause of the explosion is currently under investigation. It is unclear whether any innocent bystanders were injured in the blast.
Bystander (Translator): I had just stepped out to go to work, when there was this massive explosion above me, and bits of glass and other debris started to fall on me. I live in the Queens Tower, so it's quite frightening. If I had left just two minutes later, I could have been killed.
Bystander 2 (Translator): One minute it was quiet, the next minute there was a loud bang, and people screaming and running everywhere, it was chaos.
Other local sources have also confirmed that the apartment belonged to a Ms. Maggie Chow, a local actress and philanthropist. It is unknown whether she was residing there at the time of the blast. Her latest act of charity was at the high profile event of......What? Yes...ok, sure.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have just received footage from a tape found in the street below the blast. The woman in the video has been confirmed as the actress Maggie Chow, but the Chinese police are still trying to identify the man. It appears the video was shot from a shoulder-cam. We have been warned that the footage may disturb some viewers, so people with young children, or people prone to heart problems may wish to leave the room.
