So, whoever has Xfire, and has made recordings of yourself ingame, doing anything, put the links to your vid(s) here. I'll start you off:

Aaah, Zylex. Good strong altfire player. That first vid's not too old either, I remember following 666 around ingame and watching him blow away n00b after n00b. GG. 8) ~[E]~ was kewl.

~[E]~ was *loving* awesome
too bad some [FGS] members seem to think bad of us...
I want the AltFire server to be as populated as it was last year
EDIt/ i'll have a look at the demorecs i have recorded, to make a nice vid out of it. But how do i change the format of the .dem files to classic vid files?

Play the demorecs with DX and use fraps to record clips to .avi files. Then combine them together with a video editor like Sony Vegas or Windows Movie Maker.

I've never understood those who used Fraps directly in game while there was a demorec option.

i think he means you have to capture the demorec (which you record ingame) with fraps, so you can change the .dem to a .avi file...

avi's are HEEEEEE-UGE! Use XF, it caps them in avi format, but you can upload them and it will compress them to tiny mp4's. metabolic end product quality, but saves on space.
@Chris: .dem is a format only DX can understand mate. It's actually closer to a level file than it is a movie. So, basically, like Proph said. 8)

Also... when demo recording, DX is much more error-prone than normally.
If you have a fast PC, direct recording is the best way.

I know exactly what Prophet and Sike said. And I agree with that way of recording DX demos, that's why I said I never knew why some people were rather using Fraps directly in game thus slowing the whole thing down instead of recording a demo in DX. NVM?
