HOW easy do you have to go on them for them to enjoy the game and for you to get something out of it as well? I played one fast accurate player who had obvious skill from other games in 0augs today. However other shooters dont instantly make you godlike for dx. So when I realized that 1 vs 1 game with rifles will only end up with him thinking I cheat or he will just get frustrated and leave server.
Okay okay, so we should go easy on beginners. Well I tried sawnoff, stealthpistol, shuriken.. even flamethrower and well it didnt really help him all that much
So I put toggle walk on and went rifles.. surely id make easier target? Or maybe not.. anyway the game ended with him asking in foreign language why I walk and so on and on. Finally he said he hopes I enjoy myself and left server

Do I have to put torrent downloading to go "EASY" on beginners or what??? And he wasnt even your average clueless noob..

Next time Ill just play properly. Lesson learned. There is extremely tiny chance hell take this much punishment more than one map, if even that. But what can you do.

Sometimes I feel like dragging them to some random popular shooter game server for them to be able to see what really the average fragging capabilities mean. Jesus christ even this game has had clans and clans of fuckin awesome players, but did they see it? noooo, they just scream cheats and cheats every time they see one player whos played longer than 6 days or actually had the talent to pick something up during the years, unlike the unlucky few.

Er, when they're playing on defaults and you're raping them with scope/fire binds and metabolic end product they're not going to feel like they're ever going to get good. And honestly, unless someone helps them configure that stuff, they won't be.

I use default bind, anyway, I am not a pro or something, but Spaz do have a point there. What about the respect of skilled players?

On a softer note, I learnt pretty much 80%-90% of my abilities by practicing. So saying that they need to be shown the way isn't entirely true. I've trained my fair share of people and the majority of them just give up. Some of them, like scarface, however pull through.

even me who hasn't played DX for over a month (thats long for me xD)

When I see a beginner I always try to provide suggestions and tips. Hopefully he understands English and hopefully he will give a damn. If I can't make a conversation with him, I still don't start owning him, just leave the server. It's no fun 1v1'ing a beginner anyway, there's no challenge in it.
Flaming noobs is never a solution. If there are about 10 players playing the game, just ignore him if he calls you a cheater. Try to give him a chance though, I for instance usually get their legs and leave the fight for a pro. That way he'll start using medkits and get more insights of DX.

So, why you never take my legs and leave me too then?
