Deus Ex 2008-2010

These are the things I notice, having been away a long time.
1. Pros running around with crowbar and dts, not many people are actually trying to win. I find this incredibly refreshing, that there is much more use of low-tech weps than before. I played US players with my 37 ping and found myself doing this too, sniping was unproductive.
2. Servers lagspike more. Players glitch more.
3. Still the best game and community in the world.

NO
Also, yeah, your points are valid. Even Fear doesn't care about winning... 2012 getting closer...
It all makes for a more friendly match in the end though, untill some new homosexual comes along.

every server has at least 2 players with hardware problems, resulting in massive fire bursts and possible warping.
i also learned this year that with certain hardware configuration you can fasten up the game on client which for some reason also has effect in the server, resulting in faster fire, for example.

Too high FPS

.
I Limited my on 100 FPS, but i can get 400~600 FPS (SMuggler for example, 500+ always).
Then u have the game double speed and u run Faster, shoot faster, reload faster..everythink lol.
Its confusing, everyone can see that you have too high FPS.
Its like Cheating <3

V-sync is enabled by default at about 60 fps, too... so you have to actually disable the thing manually to get it to break. There really isn't much of an excuse for that kind of thing. :/

This is the reason I after nearly 6 years have considered quitting dx. I only knew couple people who had this issue (and who coincidentially also used it to their advantage in game) but its impossible to tell how many exactly have faster game, and how many actually know that they have it (!). Fullmoon claimed that it is perfectly fine to have fast game with very high fps because it is not his problem if others have old pcs. I was so pissed off that someone could be that stupid.
And then you have people like Sike who say they cannot play the game if their fps is lower than 200 or what it was. FIX your computer, you should be able to play it with 60 fps!

I've played with 20-40 FPS until Clix showed me how to increase it to 100 not a year ago. I still had pretty good stats when I tried so that excuse is kind of bullsh

Well, BIGFOOT, that doesn't avert us to make a date for doing a big mess with crates and big XPLOSIONS and light shows and gravity and telnet hax and all the stuff that made me still being addicted to DX.
