The [FGS] Clan

Topic is locked so I can't respond. I understand the topic probably got locked to end the discussion that was in the verge of a flame war, but I would just like to add something...

The pm was sent to several members I think, the person sending the message is the same kind of person who goes in a server to ask for admin publically, if he hadn't done so already he would've done anyway. So I don't really get the controversy surrounding this... It was just something random, not a question asked in trust or anything like that.

Feel free to delete/lock/move this topic if I'm out of order reigniting this subject.

So all this talk about values, respect and whatnot is a bit overreacted.
As much as a respect Shadowrunner, he has no right to say what we can and can't do.

He isn´t saying what we are aloud to and not, he is just saying this is rude and that at the beginning we (FGS) wouldn't have done something like that.

Also it's not about what in that pm, it's about how it is but. It i put up as a mock on that person.

Well.. I for one value such standards.. if someone has a problem or a sensitive request and passes it to me in private, then it's being kept in private without exception.
But I'm also pragmatist, who estimates each situation separately with common sense.
And it was obvious that this situation didn't fullfill the criteria of being sensitive/private.
Enforcing high moral standards to such a situation is hypocritical in my eyes... as if there was just seeked a chance to badmouth about certain people.

Well, that's how I interpreted the whole situation and that's my opinion about it.

Sure, but it didn't bother me that it was posted, but the way it was presented. It looks like you were picking on him x3 I know that wasn't the meaning of this but still that's how I saw it.

I agree. I think that a public thread to pick on somebody like that is still a no-go.
No badmouthing in the thread was intended on my part. The fact that it was sent to numerous clan members does change the situation a bit, I didn't see that. I may have been overreacting a bit, but I would hate it if it happened to me.
I would like to suggest that if something like this happened again, then don't go and make a public thread about it.

There seems to be several different angers here about different things.

1.

True. I didn't say what you could do or not. I just simply pointed out FGS rules, we don't post pm's.
Instead of accepting this, several members chose to argue FGS rules. So THEY started any fight, you could have just ignored it.
In fact Krisz only had to post the topic and say "I've had a pm from Jerry" and we all know what he's talking about.
Arguing it's necessary to post a pm, or that Shadowrunner is Jerry's friend more than yours, is sad.

2. Let me point out. I deal with Jerry more than anyone, even Chinny or Kosh. I am the only member of this clan so far to have kicked him, restarted a map over him etc, actually taken any ACTION over him, rather than bitch about him in public forums. Like others, I try to communicate with him on Cozmo and on Otherworld. I've had private convos with Jerry even. By saying that I started a fight in this topic, that I do nothing, is utter rubbish.

As much as I respect you, DJ, Nobody and Krisz, you had NO right to say what I could and couldn't do last year.
Eat your words. As much as I respect you, you were wrong to label, insult, accuse someone. You had no right.
A second server has proved to be 1. stable. 2. Popular. 3. Not cause any issues. 4. Help ZXC mappers 5. help FGS 6 etc.
So basically eat your words. You had no right to call me mental or a troublemaker. You simply weren't respectful or prepared to listen and the worst, you weren't prepared to let someone live in peace and run a second server.

You guys are trying to have it both ways. You quote the rules at me when it suits you, and when not, you cite mental illness at me. And then five minutes later, you're asking why I don't act like a friend these days. I don't think it's mentally ill to join a topic and point out that we don't post pm's in FGS. Here you are RE-OPENING the topic, but AGAIN talking about Shadow, not Jerry. It's lame. You accuse me of protecting Jerry, but your real mission looks as if it is to talk about Shadowrunner.

I've already said, I should not have used the word arrogance. Whether it did harm or not, there was no need to actually post the pm. That's where this discussion should have ended, and the topic talk about Jerry.

You should all just have a drink or whatever. You said it's a clan, not a cult. So why parade Shadowrunner through two topics for making a comment? Get a life and talk about Jerry. I simply made ONE comment. No need to go on and on and on...

When I came back in 2010, I knew I was not mentally ill when I saw server admins using projectile generator to fire nukes at beginners, for like 2 maps. Instead of realize that FGS needed to sort out a few things, you labelled me mentally ill and rude.

When I came back, I knew that (unless you make a space RPG and put it on altfire) that RPG wasn't gonna fix altfire, but some of you called me rude, mentally ill etc. Cozmo server is busy, altfire is not.

Noodz's speech about how the leadership was so crap and that he does a better job, wasn't exactly endearing.
Since Chinny and I rented servers FGS servers are busy again.
After some time of realizing that you weren't gonna make altfire how it could be for non-noob battles, I don't see how it's so mentally ill or rude to fight for a right for any member to make a FGS server if they want.

Generally, you guys are so busy accusing me, that you aren't actually listening to the initial point, ever. Maybe this time, I lost my temper and called you arrogant, so I must apologize. However, I'm not to blame for you missing the actual point.
