Vortex idea for Chinny.

Chinny was suggesting a remake of Vortex.
I notice the map is very similar to some levels from Half-Life, jumping around tiny asteroids.
I can supply mp3's of all the sounds from Half-Life if wanted.
I think it would be great to remake it as the level from half-life where some asteroids are moving and some alien fliers can be used as transport.

I'm totally for making all asteroids being destroyable with superrockets.

Yeah it was just like half life and also I can add jump pads too

I'd like to suggest that , in the situation of a Vortex remake, the weapons' locations may be altered as well. It's totally unfair for the losing team when all their members have just the shitty rifles whilst the other team has those plasma and sniper rifles.

This could also be incorporated into Nexus.
I was hoping someone could make the Hazmat suit necessary if stepping into space too. Perhaps getting very fat and exploding if not.
A bit off-topic, but DJ, I have the SG_Weapons.u - can I add this to Abydos and Nexus please. (and wondering if that will work in Altfire too)

Actually, those SG weapons package was supposed to be part of the new SG-MOD 153...
However, since SG-mMOD 153 is STILL not released, you would have my go IF DJ says yes too.. but since it's DJ's work, he'll have the last word on this.

I've been reconsidering the issue and I think the SG-Weapons weren't ready yet.
Before putting them in a map willy-nilly, they needed to be tested again.

Sure no problem, I think they were a bit overpowered, from when I tested them, but then overpowered weps is part of SG.
I think in their current state, they need to be hard-to-find secrets etc...

Sorry, I don't remember saying yes. I gave the package for the sake of testing as far as I remember..
but even if I did so, sorry, I consider the SG-weapons an FGS project and will like it to be released with the modification, as in the gametype and the skins.. sorry.

lollerskates, sure DJ, if you don't think Nexus is an FGS project, have deleted the package from my collection.
I understand, you want to release it all together, sure, it's your work.
back on topic, well, Majestic raised the big issue with that map, besides the 20mm kicking players.

Since SG is officially clan unrelated, Nexus is an SG project!
If I were to assigm the SG stuff to a clan, then SG would be a GODZ-Alpha-FGS-Projekt.

That issue has always existed with Vortex.. I don't know if it's generally tnag related or Vortex related, tho..
