The website is still up, you can still use the Tutorials and Downloads section, which has a useful fix for installation issues.

This group is largely responsible for developing the people that develop others today now. People often asked me how I learned, it was DXMS with mostly Nobody and Face filling in the gaps later. (Actually I learned a lot from players too, the hard way)

Yep only forums now exist. That DXMS is not the DXMS you think it is, it's some other gaming clan that took the domain.

Is that completed?

My honest opinion is that DXMS wasn't all that great, had a few good mappers but most worked on a philosophy of creating maps as fast as possible which often led to rather boring or uncreative maps, not to mention most of them aren't that great to play on either. Good exceptions are obviously Iceworld and Dust, Dust just being a rip off of an already established map

There's some other good maps just can't remember names right now...

Now to end this post without looking like a hater, I appreciate the effort DXMS put into teaching new mappers and turning heads of a small part of the community who weren't already interested into custom maps

Yeah.. plus Chinny made a way better Dust.

DXMS is theory was good, but in reality it was a dictatorship and I learned fook all from these guys.

It is the same place, and I know this because one of the leaders of the clan that is now set up there is none other than Reaction, a former DXMS leader.

And ironically enough, Iceworld was also a dump of a previously known map (fy_iceworld), also from Counter Strike...

Yea, I know this. But it's certainly not someone else hijacking the domain as you implied.
