I will start! Opening ued and have wrong line in deusex.ini =crash!
To a noob this could be helpful by 1000 things not to do when mapping:-p

3. Forgot to close the properties window while nothing was selected (UWindow error)
4. Loading DXMTL into Class browser
5. Clicking next to File (on the left, It will close the UEd, I don't know why)
Edit:: Ok counted :)

Hmm perhaps you're maps are unstable because of not mapping to grid? (Right clicking the corners of brushes to snap them to the grid (square matrix).

it did it on the original dx maps when looking at them in dynamic view.

The original maps weren't built well, there is plenty of brushes that don't adhere to the powers of two.

11. Duplication of actors - runaway loop/10,000 iterations.
12. Copy/pasting items from other maps.
13. Grid Error
14. Powers of 2 Error
15. Visual Error, failing to zoom to check placement etc.
16. Failing to load all dependencies
