Alrighty... Im not doing my waterfall map anymore for the contest..
HOWEVER... I am doin a different map... A map from UT99... When you look at the screenshots Im sure you'll know what map it is

Nice, but when did you start to work on this map? It's almost impossible to complete it within 5 days

Oh, and can you change the thread's name to 2 MB MAPPING CHALLANGE - Atrey65789?
Btw what is your idea? These pictures are too dark

Yeah, to answer your first question I've actually been working on this Map for a little over a week, 2 days before the challenge was made...
All of a sudden I see "2 MB Mapping challenge" And I was like " Well I started this map 2 days ago, maybe it will work."
Second question's answer, Yes I can change the name tof the thread
Third question's answer, When I take screen shots, they ALWAYS show up dark, do not know why.

Whoooah there. You have 2 months. There's no points for being the first to submit a map.
Firstly, a big welcome to the challenge and good luck. I'm really impressed you have attacked this with some energy.
As a judge I've got to be fair, so I can't help you too much, but I see some problems that don't make this a finished map.
The catacomb.utx brick texture is tiling vertically, not horizontally like bricks. The trees are too big for the ceiling/doorway.
Also I can't think of a location in real life where a wall is so bare and without detail or where the only objects are trees.
You might as well slow down a bit and take the map back to SDK and enjoy the next two months adding some details and features.
Remember, playability is one of the criteria, so it's a good reason to add detail. The most common solution would be crates, but remember we're looking for originality as well.
Another thing on my mind, is that it is not clear what the story is here, I am not yet getting a feel of what this place is. Again some life and detail and more than trees would really help with that.

OK you have the concept = jungle. Rationale = cos jungles are cool and not so common in DX
Now figure your TREATMENT.
how are you going to make it like a jungle, what techniques etc. e.g. Making breakable palm tree trunks. e.g using nighttime ambient sound for the insects etc... start to think HOW you are going to make it FEEL like a jungle.

Meant to reply earlier when I saw JUNGLE! (btw hi ShadowRunner; I see I'm not the only night owl)
Discovered a cool trick earlier today that would be useful in jungle maps. The Plant2 leaves are like ferns; stick the plant in the floor so the vase doesn't show, up the drawscale a bit, turn off collision, physics and highlighting and you have a perfect fern.

Actually... Im not doing that map anymore for the contest, Im taking a UT99 map... But It's a great one

Maybe I didn't know about it... Just thought I would create MY version of this UT map to see how people think it is. Maybe the other person who did the other conversion of it did something different.

looking at the old posts of Astrey on Alpha, it's a high probability that it's copy-pasted directly from UT99.
perhaps this competition should consist of some rules or something?
Oh well, it's a simple competition and no prizes.. so iuno.
ALSO I NOTICED I WAS LISTED ON THE JUDGES BUT NOW I'M REMOVED SO WHAT IS THISSS.

I did about half and half... The only thing I pasted was the two buildings... everything else I did by eye
