Voted "too many 0aug servers", but the idea has merit if FGS can establish a better-protected game play in your server that other clans may or may not support.
Or if THC drops their 0aug server.

Yes, bring it back I'm sick of THC maps!
...but there is required good promotion for FGS 0 Augs Server. I remember good times a year ago, when FGS made 0 augs server with completly new maps. It was excellent! Then, the server lost interest of players (THC grr...

). FGS can offer munch better maps, but as long as players don't want learn how to play on new maps, as long THC Server will be more active.

Personally I LOVED your server and to be honest I'm quite disappointed no one plays on it much anymore. Don't get me wrong, I like THC as well but I really miss some of the maps on the FGS server too..I'm not sure what to say..

Voted 1 and 5. And I agree with MJ the THC maps are awful, simply because the players vote the same maps over and over and over and over....and over again, Iceworld Area51, Smuggler meh I'm so sick of playing on them 'I will happy slap a wet fish to death if a decent 0-Aug server is not established soon'

Hell yeah!
Back in early 2012 when I became active again, there were plenty of people on FGS 0A every night, loads of new maps, no lag and there were some challenging/fun players to go up against. DX hasn't been fun recently, feel guilty for playing against the newer influx of new players or bored most of the time.
Need a big opening with insane fast paced intermission maps :0

I vote 1-AUG server with cool maps and:
- starting skill level - advanced
- no skill points per kill
- Lams
- no gep, no plasma, no shells
- no more augs per kill

The reason THC server is so popular is because Blade cater's for the newer players. There are several players who love sniperbox, and vote for it non-stop. They'll play in no other server but THC because of this.

The server was great, but we tried to combine "best" with "popular" and the two are completely different things and will vary according to whose opinion it is. I think many things could be said, but the major reason people drifted was the similarity of each game, in terms of map and weapons. THC's maplist was far more varied in size, age, authors, weps, just about everything. Also on THC, the "flat earth society" got to play Iceworld and default maps.
You've got the option to try to compete with THC server or do something totally different.
In simple business terms, THC server offered far more different products, services, experiences for the customer. On FGS, people were limited to mostly maps by FGS and mostly new maps.
It's not realistic to expect people to enjoy an entire repertoire from one clan or one mapper. Variety is the spice of life and this is why THC is more popular than Sunnyside, FGS or anything else atm. It caters for more people, so more people will visit, therefore it will be busier.
I'd say "bring it back" but expect to be less busy, or figure out a new plan for a 0a server.

The reason it struggled for popularity was probably due to the exclusion of popular maps such as Iceworld.

Iceworld clearly is a popular map. If Iceworld was on, or alternatively Concordia, I can almost guarantee that Iceworld will attract more players than Concordia, due to the size of the map, and the quick non-stop action it brings. Many players complain about iceworld because it is overplayed. A unpopular map wouldn't be overplayed. I don't like Iceworld, but 9/10 I'll play there.
