Find CDPath=(your drive letter, mine's D)
and change it to look like that:
CDPath=
Save. now you have the no-cd fix ;)

Bear in mind you can't use the No-CD crack in its current form when you're on GOTY edition - you first need the Non-GOTY executable, which is uploaded on my mapper portfolio here

ok old topic i know... but shifter is a mod that quote "removes the suck from deus ex" basicly there are extra SP weps a bunch of bugs are fixed and you get skill points for each kill depending on how you kill the NPC like headshots get more points you get a distance bonus if you kill them from far away and if you use stealth you get more points as well. ok here is a quote i got from http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/gentop ... ard=250533

"Shifter Mod:
Author: Y|yukichigai

This is a little-known mod that has a relatively large following on the Deus Ex Board. It deserves all the recognition in the world though. What started as a edit to prevent players from constantly picking up the damn combat knife, became MUCH, MUCH more.

This mod adds tons of new elements to the game, just to take all of the silly stuff out of Deus Ex, and replace such things with realistic changes.

New additions include:
New Augmentations
Tweaks to weaponry
Unique weapons
Skill point additions

And much, much more that is all covered in the read-me.

You can find this mod at a dozen different locations, but here's one link.

http://files.filefront.com/Shifter+vers ... einfo.html "

ok so this link is the newist version

Shifter mod adds some cool new stuff to the game, but the problem is that they just make the game too easy which in my opinion ruins the fun :(

so you say it makes the game to easy? well there are things that makes it easy, but there is still the same challenge so there is more hidden stuff and some annoying things are fixed, ok i see that but also the shifter mod does not give you like 500 skill points per kill... at best is gives you 12 so it is not that much easer. but if you don't like it then that is okay

I got 45 exp for killing female bum that attacked me with a crowbar. Lol.

That's just fucked up.

Not at all, the more silent the kill is, the more XP you get. So it's rather about sneaking up, not playing Rambo.

And this crowbar is just a bug, I think ;)
That's just fucked up.
And that's just spammed up ;)

so i guess you guys like the mod? lol yeah the silent kills do give you more exp. it is a good mod! there is also an added weapon mod that you find in hidden places that will increase your rate of fire. i believe the code for it if you want to summon it is weaponmodauto there are also hidden weps but you have to find those im not going to tell you how to summon them.

You can just lookup the summoncodes in UnrealED I think =)

And the mod is cool :)

It's a cool mod, but some of the modified weapons are hard to get. e.g. The Jackhammer. You need 7500 credits to buy it, for just a geared up assault shotgun
Anyone found a skullgun yet?

hint... look around in lebadev's jet... it is worth it you will enjoy the thing you find in there!
