Hi,

1.) buy a real graphic card. OnBoard is far worst ...
2.) place fans in your computer. Maybe your computer is becoming to hot inside. So you need to cool it down.

well my mom also has a ATI rage pro but it sux (and we don't have drivers for it) that is why we use the onboard one. but the game is old the onboard should be able to handle it

(i think for a while i used onboard in my comp with no problems, before i got a good graphics card so idk what is wrong)

open your computer, get a vaccum cleaner, remove the biggest heaps of dust, now get some of those:

and clean (carefully) the fans of the processor.

when you finish, leave the pc opened for better cooling.

(below instructions are for AWARD BIOS)
also, if it overheats once more, reboot it and press DELETE after it beeps. Keep pressing it, and you will enter the BIOS. Enter "PC HEALTH STATUS" and see what's the hottest thing. After u check, press ESC twice, then press "Y" and Enter, your pc should reboot.
