im at university and i meet a lot of people, i work, i participate in a lot of acitivities etc. but i dont seem to meet nice guys who are worth dating. plus i dont think they are at the right age i want to start dating and am fed up with the type of guys at my university where do i find decent guys? i guess there is no real. definate answer to this question otherwise all us girls would be rushing to the places to find the decent nice guys. What is your definition of worth dating"?? I find it hard to believe that at a college, there aren't any guys around who are "worth dating." What exactly are you looking for? Do you have any friendships with guys on campus? How about going out with them and their friends? You say they aren't "at the right age" -- what exactly do you mean by that -- do you want older guys or . What's your ideal guy? Are you looking for guys who are "in your league" so to speak -- Not saying to lower you expectations, but no one is perfect. Sometimes you have to get know someone before you can determine if they're "worth" dating. Maybe you need to open your mind a bit. Try looking outside campus by meeting people through your friends, at general meeting places like a coffee shop or a bar (bars of course aren't always the best though), or maybe even try online dating. (Just be careful with that one). most of my friends are guys. three of my bestest friends are guys. and i do have a lot of guys who are interested. but im not interested in them. probably because they are just friends/ guys im not attracted to. i guess im looking for someone who i find attractive and want to get to know. the age issue- im looking for someone to date which could possibly lead to a long term relationship. i dont want to waste my time, if you get what i mean. maybe after exams ill get out and about a bit more. fingers crossed. well, you better enjoy what's available at college. its the best time to meet people. afterwards, there's work and the only friends you'll have are your coworkers and you may not have much in common with them as is the case with me. try meeting people then.. i'm not too far removed from college and i completely missed the boat although i did approach girls there, it never worked out for me. now i'm missing those days and i'm reduced to online dating as my only option since i work 6 days a week. it doesn't get much better in the real world. dating to me just isn't worth it. right about now i'd really like my money back from last weekend..
ha!! i had a really fun date, both said we had a great time, i really enjoyed spending time with this one (which is rare for me!!) and talking with her on the phone/messenger for hours at a time before we went out then all of a sudden she's avoiding me..these hurt more than the first date where you KNOW for sure that it sucks!! i don't know why i keep getting sucked into this stuff over and over and over and over, everytime i stay away from women i'm really happy unless the people around me bring up the fact i'm single then i actually remember and i feel pressure..then..then..eventually i go out and find someone (very rarely though) then everything just blows up. and the really sad part is that i have to give you women the benefit of the doubt EVERY TIME since you're all different, i can't generalize. i wish i was on another planet sometimes.. women are absolutely toxic for my health. there's no getting around this one. ..and you women want nice guys?? please. none of you know what you want. Since everyone defines "nice guy" differently, I'd say that your version of nice guys are probably where ever YOU want to be - i.e. they are doing things and hanging out in the places that you want to be (as opposed to where you go because your friends are there, it's the "cool" spot . etc.). You like those lectures you go to, right? The ones you were buying tickets for? Maybe go there more often . I am assuming that the guys there share at least that ONE interest in common with you. Think about other things you like doing . and do them / go there all the time and get to know the other people there. Chances are there are more "nice guys" (your version) in those places. Conversely, don't regularly hang out places that aren't your thing. If you're looking for something meaningful . chances are you're not going to find it in a bar/club that's the local pick-up place (for example). Maybe this is overly simplistic . but if you're having trouble finding nice guys, maybe you should try hanging out in totally different places or with some new people? Uni (in my experience) can be pretty clique-y and get pretty same-y (same people, same places, same old thing all the time). maybe you need to branch out a bit more and try widening your circle of friends? Again, that ups the odds of meeting a nice guy or having a new friend introduce you to one of their friends . I know this is a cliche .cookiepls wrote:Bad date last weekend Lance?
