Anyone older and concerned with right and wrong in DX, eventually gets banned somewhere or other...maybe in a lot of cases, especially with EXPOSED it could have been handled better, but behind EXPOSED there was a point about collective responsibility, it was time to stop stupid things like Anti-Godz, that was the beginning of 2 years of server attack and counter-attack by Dogny, Deja, Alex and various other people. it's like Lord Of The Flies. One day they will grow up. It will be a social community one day.
There's too many ppl totally noobing and then posting scores and claiming ownage etc. Someone couldnt understand why I used combat knife so much in AG, fact is... that is AG, no ammo anyway, save the ammo for when u really friggin need it, I still had the top score, despite someone on my team camping a tele, he was getting lammed from the tele, I wasn't. Noobery doesn't pay and I'm tired that all I see these days is "owners" who are noobs. this is not a normal game, we have to work together, not ban everyone and accuse everyone and we have to be able to take criticism also. If we don't DX is dead. But various egos like to attack and divide the community.
nice to meet you Skigannon, hope that SG demorec helps. Hopefully your maps will be on FGS servers soon.

It seems to me NC was hated for running a noob server which made noobs lazy and never bother with pro servers. It seems to me NC was hated for making atdm servers empty and short of trainees. It seems to me he was hated over a noob rifle.
Anti-GODZ, were as dumb as the idea to attack 0-aug servers.
The only way to get people off a server and to fill yours, is to make a GOOD server, which is more fun and better than the competition.
This is what we did with Wunderland this year, but it drew the attention of Alpha and Alex until the point we were being threatened, along with EDH and other clans with busy servers.

The reason we hated NC is because he didn't care about the community. We showed him that by a vast majority people wanted the rifle gone, but he continued to keep it. The reason people played in the server in the first place is because it had the most players, due to having the most player slots. So, when a new player came in they would join that server, especially since it was at the top of the list. This would then lead to their dependency on that server. Think about all of the players from that time who are still around. They are all players who played in servers other than GODZ. Also, there's the fact that NC had multiple accounts to make it seem like people supported him.

Nochanc had multiple minds. Every mind needed its own account.

I thought I'd posted this up before, turns out I hadn't.
I've run into a small problem with creating movers. Tack's lab isn't particularly clear on this. I can create the mover brush without too much problem, but I can't seem to get it to apply the texture I want, it just applies that horrible default tex. Can someone post a quick guide to creating and texturing movers plz? Ty.

Haha yes NC's mysterious friends... Player_13 who happened to live 50 miles from NC. Why would he keep the rifle up then? I heard because a lot of kids used that server, including his son, he made the rifle to cater for kids.
Skilgannon.
Lesson 1. You can't retexture movers, you must texture it before converting from brush to mover.
Lesson 2. The holy mantra. Thou shalt not make thy mover touching anything. Make thy mover in a clear free space, then reposition after you built it.
There's not much else to say...

read movers1 and movers2, should sort you out.

I'm having my own fair share of mover headaches right now, managed to get two of my four mini elevators working, just those other two to go, movers can be a real pain in the backside and can consume hours of your life.
That guide on Factory by Magus is indeed a great one, however he doesn't explain how to set keypoints.
My way of doing it is to simply move the purple mover brush (say an elevator for this example) to it's ground floor position, then simply right click your purple mover brush and highlight "Mover Keyframe" then scroll (right) and click on keyframe 1, now simply move the purple mover brush to it's 1st floor position and your done (assuming your elevator has only two floors).
Now if you want your elevator to begin at the first floor position when you play your map (which makes sense), simply right click the purple elevator brush and highlight "Mover Keyframe" then scroll (right) and click on keyframe 0, it will return to it's starting position on the ground floor.

This was made apparent, and was followed diligently. However, it didn't do as it was supposed to. I'll take a look at that link, though my mapping capabilities may be made redundant, and all this made academic very soon......Lesson 1.
