Server Host Meeting must convene
Now more than ever is a meeting of the server hosts in DXMP required. Shadow, I recommend you gather able hosts from every region and set a date.
The reason for my concern is this thread:
http://z3.invisionfree.com/HunterKiller ... =1923&st=0
More and more hosts are withdrawing and some of these hosts are key servers for the community.
Disregarding the accusations of [HK]'s involvement (the previous leaders of the clan have left me in the dark which servers they withdrew funding to) and let's assume the problem can be solved with host cooperation.
Other than a lack of extra funds, the other large problem for hosts is the global recession that has sucked up the remaining income for most server hosts.
I know there are capable hosts out there who can afford to run a server, those who can't, such as RTK hosters, shouldn't put a game before their lives. However, hosts like RedFire can afford to host but choose not to. We need to convince them otherwise.
ShadowRunner would be the ideal person to head the meetings. [FGS] could very well be a savior in this crisis.

well i dont have time to gather people...
but i can attend a meeting.
Its difficult to say what clans should access any database though...
and its a great plan, but will it work, to prevent assholes, by a ban on one server banning on other busy servers... each clan has different standards of admin etc...

The idea would be to pool funds, and whoever puts something into the pot gets a piece. Basically, you would have them buy the admin by helping buy the server.
Set the rules and the minimum/maximum donation limit and if they don't like them then they don't have to pay. If they don't pay, they don't get admin and we don't have a problem with admin abuse.

A site for sponsorship, donations to dx is a great idea...
it can allow non-players to support the game as well...
guaranteed always a server because not one clan or person is paying every month etc...
and if centralized, with the help of the site, fundraising and marketing, we could have money to buy servers rather than rent even... so any profits can go towards buying whole boxes etc...

A former DX associate to [HK] may be able to assist the efforts. Anyone ever heard of Non Sense? An up and coming clan which is backed by a revered web designer, may be willing to assist the efforts.
The associate's name is "Th3Pow3r", also known as Praxis of Ascendency, Shifter of Shen Al Calhar, and Storm of Twisted Souls. I will PM you his individual contact info.
