Apology to Reaction and all.

Elemental - if you want to vent off to him, then why don't you talk to him on MSN, like I did for two hours yesterday. His msn is in the other thread. A point about Deja and his DXSL and other "projects" needs to be made.

Having spoken with him for 2 hours, I realize the following: believe it or not...

1. He now agrees that there needs to be 0-aug servers.
2. He agrees that auggers are themselves responsible for making aug games unattractive to new players, by the way spwnkilling, cloaking and "over-kill" is employed against noobs, i.e noob-bashing.
3. He has some ideas about beginners servers, including a kill-limit which kicks a player who is doing too well.
4. He agrees custom maps are very important, i.e. essential
5. He and I are going to work together with Ste, to produce a server that will initially be 0-aug with custom maps, but gradually introduces skills and augs over a time period of weeks and months.
6. He is looking for admins, with limited aug experience, such as myself.

Whatever he has done in the past, I believe he has come to the negotiation table and is genuinely seeking solutions that will benefit all players. Obviously he will always see DXMS and Sunny Side as an opponent to his visions, but he is beginning to realize he has to compete with them, rather than molest those servers...

And as Reaction points out, DXSL is very useful...

Call me a traitor, but I am going to accept his invitation and get involved to some degree with DejaVu on his project, I believe it is more constructive than bitching each other and arguing DX to death...

He is looking for people to map such as Tunnel_Network, many turrets, lams, all things noobs love, all the things which you can't find in 0-aug games like CS...

Also when you talk to the man, you realize that he is extremely informative and knowledgeable about DX. I'm learning a lot. For example, did you know the first ever 0-aug server was German, called Volkrass and in 2003, 0-augs was a very different game, not sniper-led, lams played a bigger part.

Perhaps Deja and I will never entirely agree, but the fact he wants to work with me and other 0-auggers on something constructive is huge progress.

Why don't I talk to him? because of your stupidity 7 months ago, I got blocked from his MSN.. that's why I didn't talk to him on it.

I wasnt trying to flame, sorry if it seems that way, I had no idea that Deja blocked Elemental...

Geez... well speaking of DXSL: Deja told me this.

If a server disappears from the list, it could be routing problems.
E.G God's Kitchen was not visible yesterday. So Deja says...

try this
open my dxsl
go to filters
enable check: show timedout servers
then refresh
and check if IP appears
(e.g 193.47.83.220 - God's Kitchen)

Sorry for accusing you for flaming Shadow..I just realised I did it cause there's a storm raging outside, just like yesterday and Tuesday. And I have to cycle through it 2 times every day. Once again, my apologies. On topic: Does viewing timed-out servers mean that it's not on or is it just not on the normal list?

It means the server is up and running, but that the server is invisible... i.e apparently not there, i.e. invisible on the gamespy/normal list.

I can only speculate. I have been told that it is not Alex's counter-attack. Obviously Deja would not attack Ste's server. The RZA did mention to me though that his server shows more players than there actually are (bots?) and eventually they are kicked out... so I'm wondering if Deja has ceased fire or not. I've not noticed anything unusual apart from a Korean Server up, and an anonymous player spamming players to join a server called netpointfocus.co.uk:9975 by manually typing it in. I could not connect to either...

((No need for apology, Elemental and I were (once again) off-topic. You saved Magus from having to do it again lol. Elemental and I can be a highly combustible combination. NetPointFocus? That's JimBowen's site, and the original home of [GODZ] forums. I don't see it being linked to DejaVu somehow.

And as for DejaVu stopping, I for one don't believe it. Whenevr I'm logged in on DXMS, I usually see two of three messages saying 'RIJ attack blocked' or something to that nature - with very similar IP addresses noted.

I don't think he ended the attacks, but I think he did let up on them... I don't have anything against Dejavu regardless of what I may say on these and other forums.. But I do hear things about how much he does not like me lol... nothing I can do about that i guess.. But anyways, I been hearing a lot of ppl complain about having problems getting onto the dxms server.. which leads me to believe the bots are still targeting it.

lol, the problem for me getting on the server is that it is FULL!!!

It must be the most populated server at the moment.

But I agree, I think the increase in pings lately must indicate something is not right...I'm sure Deja is working out how to counter-attack...

server timedout: masterserver reports its IP to you, but when you try to query it, it doesnt give back any result. that means, either that server is blocking your IP or its already offline, but masterserver is still showing its IP. t-out is the same as in game ping 9999.

im not attacking anything. ive shut down bots like a month ago already. ive nothing to do with servers not being on msl. it was someone else. and when 0aug servers came back, that guy disappeared aswell and i get no response from him anymore.

possible reason why you see such stuff on server is in fact that real players try to connect but server blocks them. god knows how many players were blocked already. nice exmaple is silentscope, who got banned by stes server, with simply just trying to join. but since he had packetloss that time, his client tried more times and nephs detected that as attack and banned him. ste removed neph and is not using it since that time.

i dont hate u elemental.

i dont think there are more players at all. just one server that is very populated and all others empty. its just another BS you talk when it comes to: omgz, dx will die if theres no 0aug.
