I am unaware ob such behaviour within the net code, but if you experienced that, then it's the proof of obvious. :-k
e.g. a proof that invalidates any related theory, lol.

At the end, it needed to be checked under controlled conditions, though.
Thus, having at least two players that really want to participate to a solution.
The one player must show normal behaviour and the other one that speedy behaviour.
Then both needed to get attacked in the exact same way.
Nobody is perfect...

This also applies to bio energy, I made a simple test. Having for example 250 fps you will run out of bio about 10 seconds faster than having less than 100. Another example- while moving with face in front of the wall you will reach more fps (its simple way to notice that) and because of that you will move faster or just a sound of footsteps will repeat more frequent.

I have a simple answer.

Mr L.A.M knows no fps issue other than BOOOOOOM!

When we first started there was FAR more choice for players, even in 0a.

These choices have been slowly whittled away to suit only a particular type of player and particular style of game.

An example of this, is when nukedeath was re-introduced, there was public disappointment. That's how use people have become to a game that is easy for experienced players.

If you add lams and experienced players start bitching and whining about being killed by beginners, then yes, I'll join you in saying this game is truly screwed. Until then I think the answers are simple and easy, the game can be made fun without much effort, it just seems some are unwilling to allow that fun to happen.

Wouldn't hurt would it.

There's paranoia and anger everywhere about fps, people are taking 0a FAR too seriously, liven the game up and make it more fun for EVERYONE. (and me and Chees lol)

This doesn't actually work on external servers (only if you host and play from that server, then you see what you saw). Lots of other things happen too when you play with high fps in your own server, but on an external one many of these are blocked, unfortunately not the fire rate stuff.

Well with high enough fps there are grenade issues, more commonly they will disappear when attempting to be thrown, but this can also happen to higher pinging players with reasonable fps. And the explosives-in-0aug thing is a discussion in and of itself.

I would suggest Chinny that you hang on for a while.

I said I was serious about shaking up 0 aug DX and I meant it. All of the maps I've made and published to date have things like turrets and explosives and nooks and crannies to explore (and rewards for doing so) even though/especially given that they are designed for 0 aug. In short, although I'm a 0a player, my maps are Deus Ex maps, not 0 aug maps.

My finances have improved somewhat recently so I may set up a new DX 0 Aug server, and I plan on using it to host DEUS EX Zero Aug maps, there will also be LAMs and suchlike explosives on it as well. Additionally, I will make my server available for testing anti-abuse mods.

One thing is for certain: IceWorld and ShitKnives (a.k.a DXMP_ScoutsKnives) won't be present.
Edit: the same goes for NoobChances ShitBox (NoChanc_Sniperbox)

Having lams will just take the edge of the technical bs that is flying around atm.
This is what has gone wrong with 0a, that people have become way too serious about it.

It's not even the "true" gametype, it's an easier gametype for starters, so why are some people trying to make it like the perfect veteran game I don't know, can't they urine off and play ATDM and let 0a become a bit more fun?

It's basically "being mean" on the part of vets against beginners.

There's a compromise, reduced lams, with or without planting, there should be some kind of grenade. For a start this would destroy gas plants, it would liven up the sounds, it would change tactics that snipers can't lead from the front etc. The game would become more realistic, more co-op and it would become more challenging. Real men will vote for lams.

Would make creating much harder because the creator would essentially be clueless as to what he is creating -- shows from most of custom dxmp maps created.

I don't see how that's possible. I've reinstalled DX several times and what people call rustiness is usually down to them forgetting to turn off vsync, lol. The 60 FPS makes you play TERRIBLE if you're not used to it. Not calling you a liar but I just don't see how you can say that as a fact. Maybe you just played a couple of newbs, I'm sure I could take you down with you playing 60 fps and me on the 100-120 range! :-D (finally.)

Masta, try 60 fps normal cap and 60 fps vsync. THAT is a terrible difference. Everything else is ok besides sniper zooming, mostly. vsync comes with mouse input lag for some reason.

I think I have this 60fps/75sync and sniper zooming is like they aren't scoping and I am.
