DXMP_LAM_Tennis
I've been considering my next mapping project since not long before I finished MoonLabs. This time I've decided to map something I always wanted to play, a LAM fighting map. Basically, the main weapons will be LAMs, but there will also be assault guns and respawning TNT crates. The idea is that you throw LAMs over a fence (that can be either transparent or opaque, depending on the preferances of players from both teams) but there's also a backdoor for sneak attacks. Problem is that in addition to LAMs, there's also lots of TNT for "defending" players to rig the doors with.
Spawnrooms and tunnel access will be protected from LAM fighters in the main area by means of a large staircase or some other means.
I plan to use Die/Karkys "PartyMusic"
Here's a quick sketch

You're not a gamer until you played this.
Re: DXMP_LAM_Tennis
Sounds like fun! I'm thinking the fence should be an opaque wall with some windows so there is limited visibility of the other side.

It will be the players choice - it starts totally opaque, but if both teams (or more specifically, players on both sides of the fence) agree, it becomes transparent.

The variable fence sounds like an interesting idea worth testing online. GG!

I'm sure I made something similar a while back, but I think your take on it is more interesting :P

I was gonna say this sounds familiar. Sounds an awesome lot of fun too
I think there was a GODZ map where people just threw nades over walls.

There was a map very similar to this about 2 years ago hosted on the ZXC server. Called Lam warz or something like that and the maps are almost identical in theory.

Re: DXMP_LAM_Tennis
You could integrate lams into the map Whiplash. Ask Nobody how to do it I'm sure he knows how!

Ye, that's why I asked it
It's a very interesting map, I hope it will rock

Re: DXMP_LAM_Tennis
this is really awesome, i had a similar idea when i was still mapping some months ago to build a map that consisted almost entirely of moveable walls and ramps and suchlike structures. Once i have enough time off from uni coursework i'm gonna start building a map, with movers as 30-60% of the maps scenery.
